 Collaboration efforts between
ALA Cleveland and LMA Ohio

Collaborative efforts between the
Cleveland Association of Legal Administrators (ALA)
and the Legal Marketing Association Ohio Chapter (LMAO)
continue into the summer months.

For the last several years, the ALA Cleveland Chapter and LMA Ohio have coordinated efforts on an annual program and participated in social events and informal gatherings. The goal of the collaborative effort is to provide members of
each organization and the Ohio legal community relevant programs and
networking opportunities that add value for all participants.

Pictured right to left: ALA Cleveland Chapter President Amy Avon and
LMA Ohio board members Dorenda Swanson, Lance Godard and Mark Elliott
recently participated in a golf outing to share ideas and
foster the relationship between the two organizations.

The ALA Cleveland Chapter members and Business Partners enjoyed appetizers and cocktails on a wonderful, sunny Cleveland evening at The Greenhouse Tavern rooftop bar.

Pictured top right, (l to r) Kyle Weigand, Chapter President Amy Avon, Treasurer Marie Chomyk and Past President Kris Oliveri attended the 2014 ALA National Conference in Toronto. They enjoyed various learning sessions, vendor displays and many dinners.  The hit of the conference was the REO Speedwagon concert, compliments of the Business Partners. Everyone had a great time networking and rekindling old relationships.

The Cleveland Chapter of ALA was joined by members of LMA for ALA’s May 2014 Law Firm Leadership Breakfast.  Sally Schmidt (right), President of Schmidt Marketing moderated a marketing panel of DOM’s from multiple sized Cleveland area law firms.  From left to right are Jonathan J. Mattson, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Tucker Ellis LLP; Linda Moss, Director of Business Development, BakerHostetler; Jeanne Kostelnik, Client Services Director, Gallagher Sharp; and Thomas Smanik, Chief Marketing Officer, Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP.

The Cleveland Chapter of ALA hosted the ALA Region 1 & 3 Conference.  It was a team effort from planning to volunteering to assisting with registrations, meals, business partner sessions as well as manning the hospitality table, which was a big hit.  Conference attendees could register for a drawing for an IPad and gift cards.  Thanks to everyone for the donations to the Cleveland Socks initiative.  We filled three large moving boxes with socks for three organizations.  We collected a total of 1,320 socks—351 mens, 395 womens and 574 kids—plus an additional 54 pairs by the Cleveland Chapter. In addition, ALA donated more than $600 on behalf of the conference speakers. WE MADE CLEVELAND ROCK.

Be sure to visit our Business Partner section now for important information.
We appreciate our Business Partners
and value the support and
expertise they provide to the Chapter as well as to our firms.
